In response to the growing number of online fraud attempts reported across the state, Mahabubnagar police have launched a cyber crime awareness initiative aimed at educating residents about digital safety.
The campaign focuses on common online scams, fraudulent financial transactions, fake job offers, and social media fraud. Officials are conducting awareness sessions in schools, colleges, and public institutions to help citizens identify and avoid cyber threats.
Police have advised residents not to share banking information, OTPs, or personal details with unknown individuals and to immediately report suspicious activity through official cyber crime reporting channels.
The initiative is expected to improve public awareness and strengthen cyber security across the district.
